Raising a healthy child can be tough. We offer support, guidance and reassurance.

Every child's illness has a story - and listening is where healing begins. I take time to listen carefully to parents, because they know their child best. Their observations, concerns, and instincts often provide the earliest and most important clues.

A detailed history and a thorough physical examination are at the heart of my practice. They help me understand not just the symptoms, but the full picture of the child's health.

With this foundation, I aim to arrive at a clear diagnosis and offer a treatment plan that is simple, sensible and effective - avoiding unnecessary tests, over medicalisation, or over treatment. I believe in minimising the use of antibiotics and medications unless clearly needed.

Whenever possible, I integrate lifestyle advice - including nutrition, sleep, physical activity and emotional well being - into the care plan., helping families make informed choices for the long term health.

My goal is to provide clarity and reassurance, while focussing on what truly helps your child feel better and thrive.

With over 30 years of experience in child health across India, the UK and the USA, I bring a broad, compassionate and evidence - based approach to caring for newborns, children and adolescents

My Story

I grew up in Kolkata, where i did my schooling at South Point, widely regarded as one of the largest schools in the world at the time. MBBS from Calcutta University.

My journey as a paediatrician has taken me through India, the UK and the USA.

In India, my initial training was at a large government medical college hospitals and later at Aligarh and Srinagar . I saw how deeply poverty can impact a child's health and a family's ability to seek care.

In the UK, i learned to treat children with more respect, as individuals with their own voices and needs.

I can trace the roots of my conservative, thoughtful style of Paediatric practice to two mentors Dr George Rylance and Dr Amanda Goldstein, at Birmingham Children's Hospital, West Midlands, UK. Their quiet confidence, clarity in diagnosis, and a deep respect for both children and families left a lasting impression on me.

In the USA, i was trained to be more methodical, learning the value of a structured, evidence based approach to care.

Since 2008, I've been privileged to serve the community of South Bangalore, providing care to newborns and children at our Clinic and Dr Malathi Manipal Hospital, Jayanagar.
